THERE IS A MISCONCEPTION ABOUT SICKLE
CELL DISEASE... IT'S NOT JUST A BLACK
DISEASE, IT'S AN EVERYBODY DISEASE!
OUR MISSION:
Although we support Sickle Cell research in hopes of finding a cure, our organization feels our resources are better spent helping the basic needs of the over 27,000 Sickle Cell patients in Tarrant County Texas (i.e. rent and utilities during hospitalizations, assisting with the educational needs of children within a family that is struggling financially as a result of caring for a loved one with Sickle Cell Disease and providing external services to Sickle Cell patients through our partnering relationships with other organizations such as medical, health and housing facilities.
OUR VISION:
To ensure your awareness if you carry the Sickle Cell Trait. Knowing if you carry the Sickle Cell Trait will stop the reproduction of Sickle Cell Disease.
